Holy wow it’s been a long time since I blogged! Still not “in the mood” for designing or scrapping much

Today is my baby girls 5th birthday (she’ll be starting school in 2 days!) so I decided to have a little sale to celebrate. From today until Sunday night, you can get 50% off EVERYTHING in my store, even CU products!
We had her birthday party on Saturday and it was great! She loved every gift she received, the party people stayed after the party to have a BBQ supper with us and it was a beautiful day!
I haven’t bee blogging for a while because I’ve been dealing with some health issues, and even though it’s not over yet, I’m feeling a bit better. I even scrapped some pages!
Oh yeah, and I lost over 25lbs in about 2 1/2 months. Still maintaining that weight, but need to get back on the wagon so I can lose some more.
We’re possibly getting a hurricane this weekend. I hope Earl isn’t too bad on us and we don’t lose pow! It’d be nice for it to miss us all together though because we are supposed to go to a “festival” type thing on Saturday and will probably have to miss it.

I’m so sorry I haven’t been around and designing much lately. I’m dealing with some health problems right now that just zap my creativity and energy. I haven’t even scrapped since May and even then it was only one page. I really hope to be feeling better soon and back to designing the products you love!

Yep, my team has gone and started a CT blog! It’s going to be a fun one I hope! There will be challenges, CT & customer spotlights, spotted layouts, & freebies! Follow the blog for all your JLD news & 3 chances a week to get a GC to my FPD store! I was feeling sick yesterday so I never did my P365 photo. I figured this was as good as anything I would’ve done during the day, so I chose to do a screenshot of the blog And when you do go and visit, make sure you check out the second post as there is a free brag book album for you! (shown in the pic below)
I’ve done a few layouts since the last time I posted a “not just business” post, so here they are! I make a monthly layout of any photos I’ve taken of the girls during the month. This month (using a Month in Review 2010 template by Misty Cato) I used a kit from Misty & Eva Kipler called Beauty Within.
This next layout was made with a template by Jaclyn Bernardo that is in this month’s FPD collab called Mother Nature and the kit is called This is Me, also by Jac. It’s her first kit ever!! Very awesome!
On Sunday I had to go to the walk-in clinic to make sure I didn’t have a UTI (which is common for me) but what is even more common is having the symptoms of a UTI, but not having one. I think it could be Interstitial Cystitis but I haven’t been diagnosed yet so I can’t say that’s exactly what it is. Anyway, I didn’t have one (but hey, I had a few hours to myself LOL) and since the stores were still open for another 25 minutes, I ran into Staples and got me one of these!
After years of wanting one, I finally got me a Wacom tablet! I was going to get it when we got our tax money but I figured why wait? What’s the difference? LOL So now I have to get used to using it and figure out what to draw and with what program, because PSP isn’t the greatest with it’s drawing tools. Yes I know it’s a discontinued model, but it was either that, spend $140 on a newer one or spend the same amount of money I spent, but get a model that only uses your fingers (Bamboo Touch). I couldn’t see myself spending $140 nor only using my fingers to draw so I chose the discontinued model. Hey, it still does what I want it to do right?
I haven’t been feeling that great since Sunday (chills, fever, clamminess, etc.) so I haven’t done much in the past few days but surf and deal with the CT blog, but hopefully I’ll get back to normal soon! New products are out tomorrow!
This weekend FPD is having their Lost & Found where designers put some designs in at a very low price of only $1! You should SEE the stuff you can get for a buck! Here’s what I put in the Lost & Found for this month!

Yesterday my DH’s parents and uncle came from the city to visit and while they were here, my FIL and DH swapper out the winter tires for the all seasons, and the guy put up shelves in the shed they built last fall. It took ALL afternoon but they look good and now everything has a place rather than just be piled in the middle of the floor!
So today is Easter…Kristen woke up just before 5am and said she’d read until 6. Umm…no. I told her to go back to sleep. LOL They both got up at 6am and wanted to go check and see what the Easter Bunny gave them, so I grabbed my camera sleepily and headed out to the living room. They checked out their stuff, found all the hidden eggs and promptly ate a few of them. I put all their candy into some bags and brought them back into my room with me so they wouldn’t eat it all when I happily went back to my bed to hopefully sleep some more. These girls sure are spoiled!
I forgot to mention that I am now a member of Jaclyn Bernardo‘s CT! She is a brand new designer at FPD and has some wonderful templates in her store! Check out the layouts I did with them! The bottom one is using my L’il Dudette kit that will be coming out soon
