My burn hurts now…just the slightest touch hurts. Ugh! I’m going to have some nice peeling skin in a few days.

So the cat is still hanging around. All the shelters around here are full and I don’t want to post pics on telephone poles and such to find the owner…so I guess it can hang around here if it wants to, but we aren’t feeding it or bringing it inside, no matter how much it meows at the door! It was laying on my chest when I was sitting outside today and then I remembered…fleas! I checked through it’s fur a bit and I did see one, so off it went and I told the girls not to pick it up again. I do NOT want fleas in the house!

So I went back to the clinic today to get my urine checked again. I thought maybe because it had been less than a day off the antibiotics when I last had it checked that that is why it was negative for bacteria. So…I still don’t have a UTI but she said maybe because I’ve been off the antibiotics for almost a week it might show something, if there is anything to show. (I REALLY hope something shows on the culture!) Otherwise, I think I am looking at a mild case of IC. I’m glad it’s not worse…some people have to go to Pain Management because it hurts so much…I’d go crazy for sure.

Well, all the jobs I’ve ever had weren’t just for the summer, except for one - I went blueberry picking for 3 days with my sister one year and made $27 I think. Enough to buy a sundress or spring jacket…I can’t remember which. LOL Well worth the time and energy eh?

We haven’t had much warm weather yet here in Nova Scotia. I’ve only not worn my jacket twice I think. But yesterday it was REALLY hot…like 33 celcius in the sun and was pretty warm all night too. Ceiling fans did nothing! Then today we wake up and it was pretty cold! About 8-10 degrees all morning. LOL Freaky weird weather…

Movie reviews! I watched some movies last weekend since DH wasn’t home. Like I mentioned last week, they were premiering I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry on the Movie Network on Friday. I can’t say it was an awesome movie and I really thought it was going to be since Adam Sandler is in it, but it wasn’t terrible either. It was kinda cute funny, not laugh your head off funny, but I still give it 2 thumbs up! Worth watching! I also watched The Machinist. I am a fan of Christian Bale and when I hear he dropped 63lbs to play Trevor Reznik in The Machinist (El Maquinista) I just had to watch it. It is a very different movie…I thought it was going to be a horror type, but it was more of a drama. It was pretty good though. if you want to see it because you like eye candy, this is not the one for you. LOL He does NOT look good in this movie! I still give it a:

Yep, we had 4 different celebrations for Kristen’s 6th birthday. How lucky is she? The day after her first party we had a BBQ at my BILs house, but Kaylee and I didn’t go because she had pink eye. Since I’m the photographer, no pictures were taken that day. And on her real birthday, the 23rd, she had a paid lunch at school, her Daddy brought home McD’s for supper and she got yet another gift from us! Then last weekend when we went to my parents house, we had a little party with my sister, BIL & their 3 boys.

We were supposed to go home Sunday night, but I decided we could stay until Monday then go shopping, have lunch and go to the Wildlife Park on the way home as a treat. DH was sick at home anyway, so I figured the extra day without the girls at home would help him. Here are some pics from the park and playground afterward. The peacocks were just wandering around and having fun hopping from one roof to the other. LOL the swan was having fun chatting with me so yep, I really was that close to him. Not close enough to nip at me though.

I scrapped a few pages since the last post, but am still not able to show you the 2 others I scrapped a few weeks ago. Soon…very soon.

I finally picked out some new CT members last night! Here’s the announcement! But, just because they are picked doesn’t mean you need to stop wearing my blinkie… if I see you with it “on” in the forums at Oscraps or DST, you might just get RAK’d!

So I just put something new into my stores…not sure if it’ll be popular or what, but I thought it’d be a helpful little thing. I know some designers have lots of space around their PNG files and that takes up a lot of space. So, if you are a designer, this would be great to run before saving your element, and if you are a scrapper, it’d be good to run over the files you already have to save some precious hard drive space! I made them in PSPX and PSCS2 so I’m not sure it’ll run on any other version or program.

I just put some new stuff into my Toybox! (they’ll be at Oscraps soon). They are in the store individually for $2 each as well as in a combo for $10 and are good for commercial use too!

One of the Cheery-O’s at Oscraps gave me this layout to lift but didn’t say who it was by, but I lifted it last night anyway. I’m really starting to like Flergs stuff and I would say I’m becoming a fan, but I can’t buy any of her stuff yet because of my spending freeze. After this next pay gets transferred to our account, I will still owe about $115, then I can start buying stuff again!

I put out a new Cheaters Challenge yesterday! It’s based off of a layout by my good friend Eve, shown here. Go to my Playroom to get both 12×12 & 8.5×11 sizes!

Yesterday was SO nice! It was sunny all day and got up to 13 degrees in the afternoon! Almost warm enough for no jacket! We even stayed at the school for 45 minutes after school was out so the girls could play in the playground. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be of the same caliber too! Maybe we’ll break out the sidewalk chalk after school. The girls got a bunch for Easter and have been dying to use it!

Kaylee has already had 10 days of antibiotics and is on her 7th day of ear drops for her ear infection but she’s still complaining of pain every once in a while. This thing just won’t go away! Ugh! Yesterday was horrible…all of us had a cough, Kaylee had a fever, Kristen was just lethargic and DH had everything….at one point we were all in the living room sleeping. The girls didn’t have any supper and they still don’t have their appetite back either. They do eat some things, but aren’t asking for snacks all the time like they normally do. Kristen is much better today than she was yesterday so I’m sure she’ll be going to school tomorrow.

Tomorrow I have my first session of laser hair removal. I’m so excited, but nervous at the same time since I’ve never done it before. I can’t wait to get rid of this hair!!

So I finally got a few things into my store at Oscraps!  I made some more Scalloped Tomatoes mats and a set of sky papers. I haven’t put them upat my own site yet, so you’ll have to get them through Oscraps for now.

On a scrapping note, I have a layout that is featured in this months Bella Scraps Magazine! I did it about 3 weeks ago for their Color Challenge I knew was coming up this month. It’s not posted anywhere yet, so I can’t point you to the credits, but it’s Amber Clegg’s kit called Lil Dainty and the frames are by Nancy Comelab. I also used the Scalloped Tomatoes 2 mats above that are new to the Toybox.

Yesterday we had a snow storm…it snowed then rained. Turned into a mushy slushy mess, so school is closed today. Doesn’t really look that bad out right now but I guess it’s supposed to drop to -4 this afternoon so all the water will freeze and leave a lot of the roads slippery. So because a lot of the snow melted when the rain came, I didn’t feel a need to take pics.

If you want to see some people’s houses and how they decorated for Christmas, you should check out BooMama’s Christmas Tour of Homes. What you do is blog about your decorations showing pictures, then add your addy to her list so people can go through and “visit”! As soon as I finish this post I’m going to head over there and add my addy. Here’s what I’ve done this year! There’s not much I can do with a 5 year old and a 2 year old around. Once they’re older I’ll get larger things to put on the floor and be able to “wrap” my media cabinet like I did one year. (frames by Merkee, snowflakes & ribbon by Lisa Whitney)

Here are a few layouts I’ve done in the past few days! The “Reflection” layout was done with a kit some of the Oscraps designers made for their CTMs and the Cheery-Os. I think the kit turned out great!
