We named ourselves the Otters, because they are cute and love to swim, just like my girls. Whenever it was time to go to the next animal, I’d yell “Okay Otters!” then they’d all come to me

I only did one layout since the last post but I used a kit of Misty’s that isn’t out until next Saturday so I can’t show it to you. I can, however, show you the front and back covers of the Shutterfly book I ordered the other day. It’s of all (minus one that I forgot) the layouts I’ve done with both girls in it so far.

Man, I hate it when DH is in a bad mood (which is often) because then everything bugs him, even the stuff that shouldn’t. He was getting annoyed at Kaylee because she was trying to give her sleeping sister (who isn’t feeling well) a stuffed animal. I asked him why it was annoying him and he said I didn’t understand then went downstairs, as usual. I wish he could handle the kids better because he obviously can’t. I’d say at least 90% off his “tantrums” are kid-related. The big baby can spend the rest of the night down there for all I care.

So first I gotta tell you about this challenge/contest I’m going to be doing for the next few days. We haven’t had much warm weather yet here in Nova Scotia. I’ve only not worn my jacket twice I think. But yesterday it was REALLY hot…like 33 celcius in the sun and was pretty warm all night too. Ceiling fans did nothing! Then today we wake up and it was pretty cold! About 8-10 degrees all morning. LOL Freaky weird weather…

Movie reviews! I watched some movies last weekend since DH wasn’t home. Like I mentioned last week, they were premiering I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry on the Movie Network on Friday. I can’t say it was an awesome movie and I really thought it was going to be since Adam Sandler is in it, but it wasn’t terrible either. It was kinda cute funny, not laugh your head off funny, but I still give it 2 thumbs up! Worth watching! I also watched The Machinist. I am a fan of Christian Bale and when I hear he dropped 63lbs to play Trevor Reznik in The Machinist (El Maquinista) I just had to watch it. It is a very different movie…I thought it was going to be a horror type, but it was more of a drama. It was pretty good though. if you want to see it because you like eye candy, this is not the one for you. LOL He does NOT look good in this movie! I still give it a:

My site was telling me I needed to upgrade a few things so today I upgraded my gallery. Shoulda backed up before doing so because now there is no theme on it at all! My whole pretty looseleaf background is gone. Then I upgraded my family blog and it went okay…nothing missing or wonky, so I upgraded my scrapping blog (this one). Whoops! Shoulda backed up the stylesheet because it went back to a very plain blog with no customizing at all! Grr…So I took a few hours and got it mainly back to the way it was, but there’s a few things that need fixing. Now it’s saying my store needs to be upgraded. No way no how am I doing that! LOL

I can finally show you the 2 layouts I made weeks ago! One was for a kit Misty put out Saturday called Lullaby and one is for the Treat of the Month (Holly Griego) at SSD that started yesterday!

Now that most shows are over we have caught up on all the shows we recorded but never watched and we got to watch a movie on Friday night. We watched “I Know Who Killed Me” with Lindsay Lohan. It was really good! Suspense thriller type of movie that kept me thinking through the whole movie! I give it:

Next Friday they are premiering “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry“, so I guess we’ll be watching that!

Kristin put out the cutest camping kit Saturday called Gone Campin’! I have some camping pics that I’ve been wanting to scrap but haven’t gotten the right kit up until now, so now I can scrap them! Woot!

I have a new Cheaters Challenge out in my Playroom, so go grab them!

For Mother’s Day I asked for a Blizzard cake from DQ and a new set of headphones so I can comfortably watch a movie on the laptop while DH watches his races during the weekends. LOL (the cake is the middle one in the picture below). It better be good! It cost $30! He mentioned they had a Reese’s one, so I told him he can get it for Father’s Day. LOL

Also, on Thursday Kristen gave me her Mother’s Day gift that she made at school. A cute card/poster and a pot that she decorated with a packet of flower seeds in it.

I have 3 toots…count ‘em…three to tell you!

1. The last 2 I made using Misty Cato’s designs because guess what? I’m on her CT now!! She PM’d me about a week ago, a few days after a chat she had at SSD, and asked me if I’d like to be on her CT, so I said yes! I’m so excited to be on a new CT. I never really tried out her designs before, but so far they are great and my pages come together really easily!

2. I forgot to tell you all…I’m going to have 2 layouts published in next month’s Bella Scraps magazine! (should be out around the 15th)You can buy it at Bella Scraps site or Oscraps to see which ones!

3. I am this week’s Spin-a-Lift gallery on the Sweet Shoppe Designs blog! They are down right now because they are switching to a bigger server, but once it’s back up you can go over there, lift me, and then get a Sweet Rewards point! I think I may even lift myself so I can get a point! LOL

Happy {Inter}national Scrapbooking Day! I know it’s not until tomorrow, but I thought I’d get a heads up on sticking in my blog freebie and starting my site sale a day early.

First, I want to show you a layout I did yesterday! I got Sweet Genevieve’s large-sized NSD Grab Bag yesterday and it is filled with great stuff! This whole layout is made with stuff in the bag. Now the small Grab Bag only has 5 products instead of 9, so some of the stuff in the layout may or may not be in the bag.

Is it really April 25th? Because I don’t think that we should be getting snow…but we ARE! Not tons of it, but enough to cover everything and it’s really heavy and wet. It’s freezing out too! Ugh! It better be nice from Sunday to Wednesday because we’re going to my parents house for a visit. Kristen has no school on Tuesday and Wednesday because of service days, so I decided we’d go up Sunday, she’d miss school on Monday, and we’d stay until Wednesday. I hope it’ll be nice so we can go to the park and stuff!

Kaylee went to her pediatricians app’t yesterday (which I thought was a speech therapy once since she’s been on the waiting list to see one for a year) and she did really well! She said she’s growing well and she’s not worried about her speech at all! Yay! She still wants her to go in for an assessment, so she called the hearing place and they didn’t even have her on record as being on the waiting list! No wonder we still haven’t gotten a call after being on the list for a year. So overall, she’s doing great, but needs a bit of work on her fine motor skills and needs some structured playtime.

Here’s a lift I did of Karen’s (Hom74) “Party” layout just for fun. I spun it 90 degrees counterclockwise.

I just put some new stuff into my Toybox! (they’ll be at Oscraps soon). They are in the store individually for $2 each as well as in a combo for $10 and are good for commercial use too!

One of the Cheery-O’s at Oscraps gave me this layout to lift but didn’t say who it was by, but I lifted it last night anyway. I’m really starting to like Flergs stuff and I would say I’m becoming a fan, but I can’t buy any of her stuff yet because of my spending freeze. After this next pay gets transferred to our account, I will still owe about $115, then I can start buying stuff again!

Yesterday was SO nice! It was sunny all day and got up to 13 degrees in the afternoon! Almost warm enough for no jacket! We even stayed at the school for 45 minutes after school was out so the girls could play in the playground. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be of the same caliber too! Maybe we’ll break out the sidewalk chalk after school. The girls got a bunch for Easter and have been dying to use it!

Kaylee has already had 10 days of antibiotics and is on her 7th day of ear drops for her ear infection but she’s still complaining of pain every once in a while. This thing just won’t go away! Ugh! Yesterday was horrible…all of us had a cough, Kaylee had a fever, Kristen was just lethargic and DH had everything….at one point we were all in the living room sleeping. The girls didn’t have any supper and they still don’t have their appetite back either. They do eat some things, but aren’t asking for snacks all the time like they normally do. Kristen is much better today than she was yesterday so I’m sure she’ll be going to school tomorrow.

Tomorrow I have my first session of laser hair removal. I’m so excited, but nervous at the same time since I’ve never done it before. I can’t wait to get rid of this hair!!

So I finally got a few things into my store at Oscraps!  I made some more Scalloped Tomatoes mats and a set of sky papers. I haven’t put them upat my own site yet, so you’ll have to get them through Oscraps for now.

Okay, first thing first…Kaylee still has an ear infection. She was diagnosed with a double infection on March 17th…had 10 days of antibiotics and Friday morning had her last dose. Sunday night she wouldn’t go to sleep and started crying saying her ear hurt, so we went back to the doctors yesterday. There’s still a bit of the infection there so she got a prescription for ear drops. She FREAKS when I try to put them in. Eventually I do, but she won’t keep her head to the side so I really hope it does it’s thing. Kristen wasn’t feeling well yesterday (fever and a bit of a cough) and she actually took a 2 hour nap, then laid on the couch and with me for most of the rest of the day. She never went to Sparks (Girl Guides for the 5-7 year olds) and today she isn’t going to school because she had a fever of 101.3. Right now she’s sleeping on the couch and even though her sister keeps bugging her, she’d rather be down here than by herself in her room. Poor girl…I hope they both get better soon and not worse!

Ooh! I got my camera bag in the mail yesterday! I bought a Crumpler Stamp Claimer from eBay since it’d be REALLY expensive if I bought it on Crumpler’s own site. It`s really sturdy and holds my Rebel and accessories perfectly.

So every month I make a free desktop using the Oscraps collab in 2 different sizes. Soon I will be putting some in the store, but without the dates and months so you can use them whenever you’d like, and for longer than the month they’re made in! Here is this months desktop. Last night was the first night we did a load in our new dishwasher. Everything worked well…no leaks or anything. LOL Turns out that the 1 1/2 cupboards and 2 drawers we had to give up to get the dishwasher in weren’t really needed anyway because we found a place for everything in it.
