My burn hurts now…just the slightest touch hurts. Ugh! I’m going to have some nice peeling skin in a few days.

So the cat is still hanging around. All the shelters around here are full and I don’t want to post pics on telephone poles and such to find the owner…so I guess it can hang around here if it wants to, but we aren’t feeding it or bringing it inside, no matter how much it meows at the door! It was laying on my chest when I was sitting outside today and then I remembered…fleas! I checked through it’s fur a bit and I did see one, so off it went and I told the girls not to pick it up again. I do NOT want fleas in the house!

So I went back to the clinic today to get my urine checked again. I thought maybe because it had been less than a day off the antibiotics when I last had it checked that that is why it was negative for bacteria. So…I still don’t have a UTI but she said maybe because I’ve been off the antibiotics for almost a week it might show something, if there is anything to show. (I REALLY hope something shows on the culture!) Otherwise, I think I am looking at a mild case of IC. I’m glad it’s not worse…some people have to go to Pain Management because it hurts so much…I’d go crazy for sure.

Okay, so I wasn’t bored on Thursday like I thought I was going to be. It was a wonderfully peaceful day then and on Friday too. DH and I went out to East Side Marios for supper then I had enough time before the mall closed to grab Breaking Dawn from Zellers for $18. The cashier (a teenaged boy) said “We have this here? I didn’t know we had good books here…” LOL

Friday I got up at 9:30 and went to the mechanics to get our oil changed. I didn’t mind that at all because I had my Breaking Dawn to read. :)  Then I went shopping at WalMart and got the rest of Kristen’s school clothes and school supplies. So I read half of BD on Friday (with no TV on or nuthin’…was SO nice!) And when DH came home from work, we decided to have spaghetti for supper and literally 10 seconds after I put the pasta in the water…the power went out. Ugh. Turns out there was some sort of car/truck accident or something that took down the power line because soon after the power went out, we could hear the sirens wailing. So, we ended up having BBQ’d burgers and a Caesar salad instead. Turned out great! The power was out for just a little over an hour so it wasn’t too bad. That night I started feeling like I had to pee a lot so I left DH a note (he was already in bed when I turned in) saying that he couldn’t leave in the morning until I went to the clinic to find out if I had a bladder infection or not. Turns out I did and the doctor gave me 3 extended release antibiotic pills. I have one left but am still feeling the infection so I might have to go back tomorrow to tell them 3 days wasn’t enough. I hope not though. So I spent the rest of Saturday feeling miserable and tired because I didn’t sleep well the night before. I finished reading Breaking Dawn by about 6:30 then scrapped a page.

Sunday I woke up at about 10:30 then got to cleaning some more…was in the middle of sweeping when DH brought the girls home. About 4 hours earlier than I’d expected, and within 1 minute, everyone was cranky and annoying. So there went my peaceful weekend. At least the girls slept in some this morning until 7:15am.

I didn’t know a man could get pregnant!

I scrapped my heart out yesterday! I did 4 pages, but I can only show you 3 because 1 was made with a kit of Misty’s that won’t be out until the 16th. She is so organized and ahead of schedule all the time!

I have a new Cheaters Challenge up in my Playroom! It’s based on the last layout shown above. Love that freebie of Kari’s! I’ll be watching what else she puts out at FPD with their Teacher’s Pet contest.

Yep, I went and got my hair cut today. I hadn’t gotten it cut since January and there were no layers in it so it was weighing me down. When I get a thought in my head I just have to get it done so when I decided to get my hair cut today I thought “what am I supposed to do with the girls? I have no babysitter…” So, we went to the Dollar Store first and got a treat and a toy for each of them then to the book store to buy them each a book to look at. They sat in the waiting room and were pretty well behaved for the entire time I was in there! I was really surprised. LOL No pics though…sorry!

I have known Lauren since we were both selling at Elemental Scraps back in March of 2006 so I’m glad to be able to keep in touch with her and her designs! OMGoodness I just had a scare…I was getting Kaylee dried off from being in the wading pool so she was n.a.k.e.d and Kristen wanted me to take her training wheels off of her bike, so I went outside and watched her go on her friends bike so I would know for sure that she could do it, and when I went to go inside to get the wrench to take them off…I couldn’t open the door. Kaylee had closed it and locked the deadbolt. Crap! So, I realized I could get in the patio door because it was open, but there are no stairs to our deck and it is one story up (our shed is underneath it). I went to my neighbor that is back behind us and asked him if he had a ladder. He said he could just climb up and go through the house to open the door. Once he got up to the deck I went around front and waited for him to open the door. It was taking a while (all the while Kaylee inside crying and freaking out, n.a.k.e.d when this strange man comes onto the deck) so I went and opened the door…went upstairs and I heard him saying to Kaylee that he was going to go let me in…Kaylee had unlocked the door sometime between me leaving the front door to get my neighbor and him climbing onto the deck. Ugh! I told him I was sorry and thanks anyway! LOL I hope Kaylee learned her lesson…no closing doors while Mommy is outside! Whew! What a day!

For SSD’s From Our Blog 2 Yours, Mimi wants to know about our summer jobs when we were younger. Well, all the jobs I’ve ever had weren’t just for the summer, except for one - I went blueberry picking for 3 days with my sister one year and made $27 I think. Enough to buy a sundress or spring jacket…I can’t remember which. LOL Well worth the time and energy eh?

So potty training isn’t going as well as I thought. Today it took her a few hours to pee (which is really unusual) but before she did that she was crying and asking for a diaper. I stood my ground and told her no and finally she peed on the potty but freaked when it started coming out. That didn’t happen yesterday! I was tired of her peeing on the couch so I went to look for Kristen’s waterproof pad to put on top of her bean bag chair for her to sit on and while I did that (didn’t find it) she had about 5 accidents and was freaking out crying so I put a diaper on her. We’ll see after her nap how it goes.

I have 2 sets of alphas coming into my stores tomorrow!

The second one is really versatile I think. If you put a paper/gradient/color below it you get one look, and if you multiply the layer enough times to make it solid you get another, then if you make it gray scale and do what was mentioned, you’ll get even more looks! Of course, the first one being clear, is just as versatile.

Kristen is off with her grandparents until Saturday so it’ll be a much more calm few days than normal. I plan to enjoy them! Have a great day!

I had a lot of fun going to the Wildlife Park on Friday with Kristen’s class! I had to chaperone 3 other girls besides Kristen and they were really well behaved. We named ourselves the Otters, because they are cute and love to swim, just like my girls. Whenever it was time to go to the next animal, I’d yell “Okay Otters!” then they’d all come to me

I only did one layout since the last post but I used a kit of Misty’s that isn’t out until next Saturday so I can’t show it to you. I can, however, show you the front and back covers of the Shutterfly book I ordered the other day. It’s of all (minus one that I forgot) the layouts I’ve done with both girls in it so far.

Man, I hate it when DH is in a bad mood (which is often) because then everything bugs him, even the stuff that shouldn’t. He was getting annoyed at Kaylee because she was trying to give her sleeping sister (who isn’t feeling well) a stuffed animal. I asked him why it was annoying him and he said I didn’t understand then went downstairs, as usual. I wish he could handle the kids better because he obviously can’t. I’d say at least 90% off his “tantrums” are kid-related. The big baby can spend the rest of the night down there for all I care.

We haven’t had much warm weather yet here in Nova Scotia. I’ve only not worn my jacket twice I think. But yesterday it was REALLY hot…like 33 celcius in the sun and was pretty warm all night too. Ceiling fans did nothing! Then today we wake up and it was pretty cold! About 8-10 degrees all morning. LOL Freaky weird weather…

Movie reviews! I watched some movies last weekend since DH wasn’t home. Like I mentioned last week, they were premiering I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry on the Movie Network on Friday. I can’t say it was an awesome movie and I really thought it was going to be since Adam Sandler is in it, but it wasn’t terrible either. It was kinda cute funny, not laugh your head off funny, but I still give it 2 thumbs up! Worth watching! I also watched The Machinist. I am a fan of Christian Bale and when I hear he dropped 63lbs to play Trevor Reznik in The Machinist (El Maquinista) I just had to watch it. It is a very different movie…I thought it was going to be a horror type, but it was more of a drama. It was pretty good though. if you want to see it because you like eye candy, this is not the one for you. LOL He does NOT look good in this movie! I still give it a:

My site was telling me I needed to upgrade a few things so today I upgraded my gallery. Shoulda backed up before doing so because now there is no theme on it at all! My whole pretty looseleaf background is gone. Then I upgraded my family blog and it went okay…nothing missing or wonky, so I upgraded my scrapping blog (this one). Whoops! Shoulda backed up the stylesheet because it went back to a very plain blog with no customizing at all! Grr…So I took a few hours and got it mainly back to the way it was, but there’s a few things that need fixing. Now it’s saying my store needs to be upgraded. No way no how am I doing that! LOL

I can finally show you the 2 layouts I made weeks ago! One was for a kit Misty put out Saturday called Lullaby and one is for the Treat of the Month (Holly Griego) at SSD that started yesterday!

Now that most shows are over we have caught up on all the shows we recorded but never watched and we got to watch a movie on Friday night. We watched “I Know Who Killed Me” with Lindsay Lohan. It was really good! Suspense thriller type of movie that kept me thinking through the whole movie! I give it:

Next Friday they are premiering “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry“, so I guess we’ll be watching that!

Kristin put out the cutest camping kit Saturday called Gone Campin’! I have some camping pics that I’ve been wanting to scrap but haven’t gotten the right kit up until now, so now I can scrap them! Woot!

For Mother’s Day I asked for a Blizzard cake from DQ and a new set of headphones so I can comfortably watch a movie on the laptop while DH watches his races during the weekends. LOL (the cake is the middle one in the picture below). It better be good! It cost $30! He mentioned they had a Reese’s one, so I told him he can get it for Father’s Day. LOL

Also, on Thursday Kristen gave me her Mother’s Day gift that she made at school. A cute card/poster and a pot that she decorated with a packet of flower seeds in it.

1. The last 2 I made using Misty Cato’s designs because guess what? I’m on her CT now!! She PM’d me about a week ago, a few days after a chat she had at SSD, and asked me if I’d like to be on her CT, so I said yes! I’m so excited to be on a new CT. I never really tried out her designs before, but so far they are great and my pages come together really easily!

2. I forgot to tell you all…I’m going to have 2 layouts published in next month’s Bella Scraps magazine! (should be out around the 15th)You can buy it at Bella Scraps site or Oscraps to see which ones!

3. I am this week’s Spin-a-Lift gallery on the Sweet Shoppe Designs blog! They are down right now because they are switching to a bigger server, but once it’s back up you can go over there, lift me, and then get a Sweet Rewards point! I think I may even lift myself so I can get a point! LOL
