Today is my DHs 34th birthday and I made him a cake! Well, my mom make the cake part a while ago and gave it to me frozen last week, so I thawed it out and use the icing she gave me. I don’t have any cake decorating tools here nor have I ever decorated a cake (I always make cupcakes) so I didn’t know what I was doing. LOL I made a makeshift piping bag using a Ziploc bag and cut off the tip of it so I could put the words on. I think it turned out pretty good, especially for my first cake. It’s not perfect though I know.

I got him Mario Kart & an extra wheel for the Wii, my MIL gave him some jeans & the Journey to the Center of the Earth DVD and my mom gave him a nice hoodie sweatshirt. They both fit him great! He’s wearing them today

Kaylee had a bit of sickness yesterday. She had a few bouts of throwing up and ended up sleeping with me the whole night. She seems fine today except she has a bit of a fever. Sounds exactly like what Kristen had in the beginning of the week. I’m sure she’ll be fine by tomorrow.

Did you hear the next ADSR is starting in January? My BFF Melanie and I are going to join up and we’re calling ourselves the East Coast Mommas, like we did for ADSR2. Hopefully this year none of our children get sick and we won’t have to forfeit. I even made a blog for us to upload our pics to!

Here are 3 of the 4 layouts I did since the last post. The one I can’t show you is using a new kit of Misty’s that will be out on the 22nd. Lemme tell ya, if you have little girls, you will definitely want this kit!

Is anyone else in the Christmas mood already? We are watching Christmas movies already and I can’t wait until the end of the month to put our tree up! This year, because the new entertainment stand isn’t in the corner where the tree would be blocking the view for whoever is sitting on the couch, I can put our tree right in the front window!

Anyway, I think that’s all for today…I’m off to scrap some 1st birthday pics of my friends son using another of Misty’s new kits. I think it’ll be out on the 22nd too, but I’m not sure. I won’t be able to show you the layout until then anyway. Have a great Sunday!

Okay, first thing first…Kaylee still has an ear infection. She was diagnosed with a double infection on March 17th…had 10 days of antibiotics and Friday morning had her last dose. Sunday night she wouldn’t go to sleep and started crying saying her ear hurt, so we went back to the doctors yesterday. There’s still a bit of the infection there so she got a prescription for ear drops. She FREAKS when I try to put them in. Eventually I do, but she won’t keep her head to the side so I really hope it does it’s thing. Kristen wasn’t feeling well yesterday (fever and a bit of a cough) and she actually took a 2 hour nap, then laid on the couch and with me for most of the rest of the day. She never went to Sparks (Girl Guides for the 5-7 year olds) and today she isn’t going to school because she had a fever of 101.3. Right now she’s sleeping on the couch and even though her sister keeps bugging her, she’d rather be down here than by herself in her room. Poor girl…I hope they both get better soon and not worse!

Ooh! I got my camera bag in the mail yesterday! I bought a Crumpler Stamp Claimer from eBay since it’d be REALLY expensive if I bought it on Crumpler’s own site. It`s really sturdy and holds my Rebel and accessories perfectly.

So every month I make a free desktop using the Oscraps collab in 2 different sizes. Soon I will be putting some in the store, but without the dates and months so you can use them whenever you’d like, and for longer than the month they’re made in! Here is this months desktop. Last night was the first night we did a load in our new dishwasher. Everything worked well…no leaks or anything. LOL Turns out that the 1 1/2 cupboards and 2 drawers we had to give up to get the dishwasher in weren’t really needed anyway because we found a place for everything in it.

Lastly, I finally put out a new Cheaters Challenge template! You can go here to the thread in my forum to get both 12×12 & 8.5×11 sizes!

I’ll be putting a new pack of the 8.5×11’s in the store soon from challenges 11-14.

So this week has been a big “toys for Jennifer” week. LOL First, Sunday we went to Leon’s and I bought a dishwasher that will be delivered on the 20th. Then Wednesday I went to WalMart and got myself a Canon Rebel XT (I have promised not to buy any digi stuff until I “pay it off” with my designing money), then the next day my new Dell Inspiron 1520 came! Today, finally after 3 weeks, the TV cabinet my FIL built (thank you Kev!) has been finished and brought into our house and we got our new plasma TV hooked up! Yay! The only thing left to buy out of the settlement money now is a new front door and small window for our bathroom, and maybe a new barbecue, but those aren’t very much.

The ADSR challenge I had to do this week (Eve did the one at SSD) was to interview an inanimate object. So of course I had to interview my new baby. LOL

So I haven’t been that great with keeping up with the Cheaters Challenge and I’m sorry about that. I hope to get a new template up soon though! I need to get back to designing!

Wow, I haven’t blogged in a while! Seems like I’ve been really busy, but I don’t have a lot to show for it. I’ve had a cold for a while and last week I found out my grandfather has lung cancer (he isn’t a smoker) and cancer of the lymph nodes. So both of those things just took my mojo away for designing. (plus having the new Wii doesn’t help my computer time LOL) Since I am doing the ADSR, I have had to scrap though, so here are the pages I’ve done so far. The 2nd one was done by both Eve and I (I did the right side).

After I’m done here I’m headed off to make a few sig tags for some members of my mommies board then do challenge #5 for the ADSR! I think I’m going to interview my old camera for this one since I just bought a new one I’m not 100% thrilled with it, but it’s a LOT better than my old Kodak CX-7530! I’m still looking for the right case. I want one that looks like a purse but has padding in it for the camera. I did buy one when I bought the camera, but I’m going to return it this week.  I’m thinking I’ll get this Vituri camera bag, but I’m still looking around to see what else there is (and there isn’t much!)

I got the e-mail this morning that one of my layouts will be published in this months Digital Artist Magazine! How cool is that! And it was my first time submitting anything!

I’ve only done one page since my last blog post, but it’s a nice one! I want to finish doing my holiday layouts from 2007 so I can burn my DVD slideshow. I don’t scrap in a time line, but it’d be weird to have some Christmas layouts on the DVD and some not, kwim? Anyway, here’s the one I did of my girls in their matching jammies.

Now I just have to do one of them opening their presents and one of the decorations (maybe) and then I’m done!

My daughter Kaylee got a Dora comforter, sheets and some wall stick ups for Christmas so last weekend we put her new big girl bed into her room and put the stick ups up. It took her a few days to get used to it, but today she went down for her nap with no persuading so I think it’s all good. She doesn’t sleep as long as she used to, but I guess that’s a given with a new bed. Here’s some pics I took. I bought some peel ‘n stick Dora border on eBay for a really good deal yesterday so when that comes, I’ll take the official “big girl room” pics and do a layout.

So who is gonna try the ADSR this time around? The last 2 times I never made it to the end because of certain circumstances, so I’m trying it again, this time with my buddy Eve Recinella! Can’t wait until February 22nd to get started!

So yesterday when I went shopping (spent $260!) I got a new Dora potty for Kaylee. She is always pointing at her diaper after she pees or poops and if she can get her bottoms off, the diaper will definitely follow. So, I’m thinking it is time to potty train. She doesn’t talk too much so it’s hard to communicate. I wouldn’t even try potty training her right now if not for the fact that she does that. As it is right now, she keeps saying “pee” then sitting on the potty, then getting off and repeat. And she takes the potty dish out and takes the whole top off. I guess she thinks it’s a new toy. So I dunno if this will go as well as it did with Kristen, but we’ll try!

It took me a bit to figure out what I was going to do and then scan the stuff needed for what I envisioned, but I did it! Here’s what I came up with, and yes, it DOES have the word “amazing” in there…it’s sort of like a Where’s Waldo? thing…see if you can find it! LOL

I plan on doing a bunch of honeymoon pages now that I’ve started them. It was a wonderful time in my life and I don’t want to forget the memories of my wedding/honeymoon. I’ll be scanning a bunch more photos today so I can get started.

I finally got around to scrapping these photos I’ve had sitting in my “To SCRAP” folder on my HD. They are of when Kaylee started standing all on her own last September. Most of the stuff I used is at Funky Playground Designs. Love those Manic Monday papers of Corina’s! The ones I used were a freebie on her blog, but you can get a full pack of 10 for only $3.25 in the shoppe!

5 more sleeps and I’m going to have a semi-vacation! Just Kaylee and me for 10 whole days! DH is going away on business and Kristen is going to Ottawa with her grandparents for 2 weeks. I’m kinda excited about it! Except for the fact that I have to go over to my ILs house every few days to get the mail…Have a happy Hump Day!
