{She doesn’t need therapy!}

Speech therapy that is. Kaylee was a late talker and because of that, the pediatrician we were referred to for her growth wanted us to have a speech consultation to see what they say. Well, that was when Kaylee was 18 months old and she’s almost 3 now, so the therapist said Kaylee is doing just great and only needs to work on not cutting her words short (i.e saying “nana” instead of “banana”) So we just have to go back in 6 months to see how she’s doing and that’s it! Kaylee knows way more than I thought she did. She knew the difference between “he” & “she” and if something does not have something (point to the chicken that does NOT have any eggs). I didn’t really think she knew that stuff.

Also, yesterday we lost Kaylee’s soothers (pacifiers) and when nap time came we still didn’t have them so she took her nap sootherless. It went fine and even though DH found her soothers before bedtime, we let on that they were still lost so she went to bed without them again. Now for her nap today she doesn’t have them and hasn’t been crying, but I have had to go up there a few times because she just won’t go to sleep! Keeps playing! I really like my time alone while she’s sleeping, so she can’t stop taking naps! She just can’t! LOL

Here’s some layouts I’ve done since I posted on Saturday!

Movie review time! I watched 4 movies since Friday night! Here they are in the order I watched them:

The Eye: “Sydney, a young, blind violinist is given the chance to see for the first time since childhood through a miraculous corneal transplant. As Sydney adjusts to a dizzying new world of colors and shapes, she is haunted by frightening visions of death itself capturing the doomed and dragging them away from the world of the living. Terrorized and on the brink of insanity, Sydney must discover whose eyes she has inherited, and what secret visions they have held

This movie was creepy (but not TOO creepy) and gave me a jump a few times. Great movie and I’d probably see it again!

Resident Evil: Extinction: “Years after the Raccoon City disaster, Alice is on her own; aware that she has become a liability and could endanger those around her, she is struggling to survive and bring down the Umbrella Corporation led by the sinister Albert Wesker and head researcher Dr. Isaacs. Meanwhile, traveling through the Nevada Desert and the ruins of Las Vegas, Carlos Olivera, L.J., and new survivors K-Mart, Claire Redfield, and Nurse Betty must fight to survive extinction against hordes of zombies, killer crows and the most terrifying creatures created as a result of the deadly T-Virus that has killed millions.”

I didn’t see Resident Evil: Apocalypse (the second of the series), so I didn’t understand some of it, but it was a pretty good movie overall. I am going to rent the second one soon but I don’t think I feel the need to see this series over and over again. Still a good movie though :)

Hot Fuzz: “Top London cop, PC Nicholas Angel is good. Too good. And to stop the rest of his team looking bad, he is reassigned to the quiet town of Sandford. He is paired with Danny Butterman, who countlessly questions him on the action lifestyle. Everything seems quiet for Angel, until two actors are found decapitated. It is address to as an accident, but Angel isn’t going to accept that, especially when more and more people turn up dead. Angel and Danny clash with everyone, whilst trying to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the apparent “accidents”.”

I would never have turned the channel to watch this if it hadn’t been for my husband. I must say though, that it was really funny, but sort of serious at the same time. It’s a British film, so you just know it will be funny if it says it’s a comedy. LOL It’s from the makers of “Shaun of the Dead” which we haven’t seen yet but I want to! Funny funny stuff!

Stardust: “The passage from this world to the fantasy kingdom of Stormhold is through a breech in a wall beside an English village. In the 1800s, a boy becomes a man when he ventures through the breech in pursuit of a fallen star, to prove his love for the village beauty. The star is no lump of rock, it’s a maiden, Yvaine. Tristan, the youth, is not the only one looking for her: three witches, led by Lamia, want her heart to make them young; and, the sons of the dead king of Stormhold want her because she holds a ruby that will give one of them title to the throne. Assisting Tristan are his mother, the victim of a spell, and a transvestite pirate of the skies. Will Tristan win his true love

I must admit, I missed the first half hour of this movie, but the rest was great! It’s sort of like Bridge to Terabithia, Spiderwick Chronicles, etc. Really liked it and want to watch it again, this time with my girls! (Although looking at the witches might be a bit scary for younger kids)

Speaking of the Spiderwick Chronicles, I forgot to review it when we watched it last week. I’ll do that next time!

Alrighty, I think that’s it from me! Check y’all later!

    I love your layouts. Especially the third one :) I am having problems with my daughter’s speech too. I guess I should take her to a pediatrician soon. Good day! :)

    My DS who is 3 is also having some speech delays but not enough to be worried - or so I’m told. He’s not too bad, sounds like the level your DD is at. Some kids just take longer I guess. I’ll worry more once he’s in school I guess.

    Love your layouts, the I’m Pretty one is WAY too precious!
