{What a load of crap!}
Well, it’s not really crap since my daughter made it, but it’s a lot of stuff we don’t need to keep in this house! I went through Kristen’s schoolwork yesterday and the picture below is all the stuff we didn’t keep. I bought some Dora file storage boxes at the Dollar Store (seriously, don’t buy from the auction I linked to LOL) and before we went through everything, we had 3 of those full of school stuff plus a lot of crap on top of them. After throwing a bunch out, we got it down to just 1 box. I just couldn’t part with her monthly journals, printing book and poem book, along with her awards and a few crafty things she made.
I haven’t seen my grandfather for a few months and I hate to say it, but his cancer is spreading. Hope is not lost yet, but it is hard trying to keep faith when it doesn’t look good. Anyway, we are going to visit my parents on Saturday to Wednesday so as long as I don’t have a cold (pray I don’t get one) I will be going to visit him while we are there. I saw this little framed quote when I was buying a present for Kristen’s teacher and thought it would be perfect to give to him. It’s yellow so it’ll match their living room.
I hope he likes it!
Today was “Birthday Day” in Kristen’s class because it was her teachers birthday and it was also to celebrate everyone’s birthdays, to be fair to the kids who don’t have a birthday during school months. I gave her my point and shoot camera to use to take pictures of her friends. She didn’t take as many photos as I thought she would and only maybe 2 of them turned out pretty good. LOL She took some videos too which were cute. I can’t show any of them here because I didn’t get permission. Tomorrow she doesn’t have school then Friday is report card day, so maybe I’ll give it to her again to see if she can get any more pictures of her friends.
I haven’t in the mood for scrapping lately, but I did push one out using Misty’s newly re-released Tangy Treat. I’ll be back on Friday to show you the one using Misty’s new kit, One in a Million.

Be on the lookout for a few new desktops in the next little bit. I have one made for the new Oscraps Collab, and I’ll be making one using a new kit from Misty soon as well. I think I like the ones without the calendars on it better so you can use it as long as you want. What do you think?
Have a great Hump Day! Ciao!

Don’t you just love the dollar store?
That is a lot of stuff! I know what you mean about not wanting to throw a lot of it out. I am a single, no-kids aunt to twins who lost their Mom at 5. Needless to say we are as close as if they were my own! My Cedar chest is about half drawings, journals and crafts from when they were little. I just can’t part with them!

Sorry to hear about your grandfather - I hope they can get it under control.
Your page is really lovely — love the bright colors against the dark BG.

Wow! that is quite a bunch of stuff. I don’t even want to think about having to do that with all of these kids. I need to soon, though, because we are moving in the next month or two. That is a really cute picture to “document” it.
