{It’s about time!}

It’s about time I updated y’all on stuff. :) The move on the 29th went as well as can be expected I suppose. Picked up the moving truck at 7am and totally filled the 26′ truck to the brim. Loaded up my car, the ILs truck and DH’s work van as well! We have WAY too much stuff. LOL Finished unloading at the house around 6pm or so and got the beds put together. DH didn’t get back from the city (returned the truck and picked up his work van) until after midnight so no TV or anything else.

Saturday I went to WalMart to pick up some stuff and lunch and by the time I got back, the internet and phone was installed, Sears was there to deliver the appliances and my brother, his wife, my sister & her 3 boys and my mom were at the house! Talk about chaos! LOL

Slowly we’ve been taking stuff out of the boxes, putting up decorations and buying new things that we need. I’d say we are about 90% moved in to our house. We still need to make a shed and possibly buy a gas insert for the fireplace and some other little things like curtains for the windows, but we’re doing pretty good for being here only 2 weeks! The first picture is the truck at the old house…still haven’t gotten around to taking a picture of the outside of our new one.

One exciting thing that happened last week is one of Kristen’s top front teeth has started coming in! For those who have known me for a few years, you know that Kristen lost her front teeth in an accident in February of 2006, so we are VERY excited that they are finally coming in! Now I wish the 2 bottom ones she lost earlier in the year would start coming through! I don’t remember it taking this long for teeth to come in when I was a kid!

I have done very little scrapping in the past few weeks. Only one page to show you! At least I am all caught up with my project365 pictures and layouts!

This morning I woke up to Kaylee whining for me to wipe her bum so when I finally gave in and got up to do it, I looked at the clock and it said 7:28! Normally I get up just before 7 so I can make Kristen’s lunch and do her hair before she leaves for the bus stop (just one house over) at 7:25. So yeah, she missed the bus. LOL I got us all ready and dropped her off at school even before her bus got there I think! At least at this school it has a roundabout in the parking lot so you are allowed to drop off your child and go, unlike her old school.

Here’s a picture of the new family cards I ordered from Vistaprint the other day. The dotted line around it is just because it was a screenshot from when I was editing the text. Rather than needing a pen & paper when I need to give out our address, phone number, etc., I just give out one of these! They were free too (besides shipping) so it was a good deal! I also got a self-inking rubber stamp with our new address so it’ll be easy to address Christmas cards. :)

Tonight I’m going to my mom’s to set up and price all my yard sale stuff and staying overnight so I won’t have to get up so early for the yard sale tomorrow. My sister is staying overnight too as she has some stuff in the yard sale as well. Whether it’s raining or sun shining, it’ll go on as Mom has a huge double car garage to shelter the stuff. I hope to make a good amount of money as I don’t want any of the stuff coming back into our house!

Monday my sister, Mom & I as well as Kaylee and my nephew Spencer will be driving to a town a half an hour away to shop. I’m sure it’ll be a blast, especially if I have a good amount of yard sale money to spend! LOL

{4 more sleeps!}

Only 4 more days and it’ll be moving day! I can’t believe it…I’m so excited!! I’ve had a pain in my neck/shoulder for the past 4 days and I’m thinking it has to do with bad posture. Whatever it is, I’m sure I’m supposed to rest it for it to heal, but I can’t do that because of the move. So I guess it’ll just get worse before it gets better :(

On our way home from doing some errands on the 11th, I was stopped by the police (RCMP) for not having a current MVI (motor vehicle inspection) sticker on my car and therefore got a $164 ticket. :( We seriously thought we had gotten it done before October of last year, but I guess we didn’t! So we had to rush that day to get our windshield replaced (it has a crack along the bottom that expanded during the winter) then get the MVI done. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to use the car until it got done!

Kristen started at her new school on the 19th and is doing really well! She loves living with my sister, BIL and nephews! She went to her first birthday party yesterday too! It was a pool party so she was really excited to go.

Saturday was Kristen’s 7th birthday and we had a combined classmate & family party whereas normally we have them separate. Here are a few of the highlights from her Hannah Montana party :)

I haven’t been scrapping much lately, but I do have a few pages to share that I’ve done since the last post.

I don’t know what I’ll be doing today…packing or taking it easy so my shoulder/neck can heal. With that and a bladder infection I got last week, it hasn’t been a very fun time around here for me.

{Keep on keepin’ on}

Packing packing packing…that will be my life for a few weeks. So far I’ve packed all of the family room, almost all of the pictures, my Willow Tree figurines and our DVDs. There is going to be a TON of boxes once I’m done!

Kristen will be spending the last few weeks at my sisters house so she’ll have more time to get used to the new school, so next Friday is her last day at school here. It’ll be a sad one (for me) LOL It’s weird to think we’ll never see any of those people again!

I’ve been working away at the list of places to change our address and I got our new phone number and scheduled the day the phone and internet is to be connected. We had to switch companies for the internet because there is no high speed on the street we’re moving to. :( I hate losing my e-mail address! We’ve had it ever since we got the internet almost 9 years ago!

Last Saturday we went to Sears and picked and bought all our new appliances. The washer and dryer aren’t the ones we really wanted, but the bill came to over $5100 with them, so we had to settle for some less expensive ones. We got a great stove, fridge, dishwasher and range microwave though. I can’t wait to use them!

I haven’t felt like doing much scrapping but one day last week I got the urge so I did two pages.

I’ll leave you with my 365 picture for today….the beading water on my windshield this morning. It’s supposed to be yucky out straight through the weekend. :(

We SOLD it!!

We had a viewing this morning at 9:30 and by noon we had an offer, which we countered because it was too low and he wanted our appliances, which we excluded on the cut sheet. So the guy accepted our counter offer which is only $1900 less than what we were asking for! Besides some formalities like an inspection, our house is SOLD and the one in my hometown will be OURS! Woohoo!!

I have only done two pages since my last post…TWO…good thing a few of my designers have been slack at putting out kits lately :)

Before I go, I have to say congratulations to Sarah (my3hens) on the birth of her beautiful baby girl Sophia Grace! She was born on the 24th (1:44am) at 8lbs 12oz. :)

{I think it’s actually here!}

Spring that is! Last weekend we had a snowfall warning but nothing came of it and I don’t think any more big snow will be coming again, so the winter coats and snowpants have gone into the closet! Yay! Our tulips are growing outside, but haven’t bloomed yet, so no pics so far.

I still haven’t been in the mood to scrap much. I’ve been mostly spending my online time adding house things to my Kaboodle in case we DO get the house. We’ll be getting that stuff with any leftover money we have after putting the down payment on the house. I’ve also been spending my time on Facebook playing Bejeweled and also online playing a game sort of like it, called Jewel Quest. It has a twist to it, which makes it more interesting.

Here’s the 2 pages I’ve made since my last blog post, the first one being for a scraplift challenge on La’s blog, the second one using Kristin’s gorgeous new Artist’s Canvas kit.

For SSD’s From Our Blog 2 Yours for 4/16, Meg wants to know something we haven’t been able to let go of during hard times. Well, I must say, I cannot let go of chocolate or regular pop. I have tried to go the diet route and stick to Diet Coke, but recently went back to regular. Selling a house is stressful!

{10 days}

The house has been on the market for 10 days and we’ve had one viewing and one Open House, which didn’t amount to much. We’re having a viewing this afternoon though, so hopefully something will happen. We wouldn’t mind it taking longer except for the fact that we might lose the house of our dreams if it takes too long to sell ours! Can you say stressful?!

Our Easter weekend was pretty nice. We went up to my hometown on Friday and on Saturday we had the house inspected. Cost us $400 but as least we know there’s nothing major wrong with it. If we don’t end up getting the house though, we don’t get our money back, which sucks. Sunday we had dinner with the family. Man was it loud! 5 kids is just too many…no wonder my grandmother declined the invitation to come! LOL I didn’t get a lot of great photos, so I’ll just show you this one…

For SSD’s From Our Blog 2 Yours for 4/10, they wanted to know what Easter Candy we are. Here are my results:

You Are a Chocolate Bunny

A traditionalist, you secretly want to dress up like a bunny. And not just on Easter.

What Easter Candy Are You?

That’s it for me I think…I have to go tidy up and maybe dye my hair. I’ll be taking the girls to the mall while the viewing is going on. They want to look at Webkinz and books and play in the play area.

{House for sale!}

Our house is finally up for sale! OMGosh I’m so excited…I can’t wait to move home!

For SSD’s From Our Blog 2 Yours for 4/2, Meg wants to know our top 5 shows that we’ve seen EVERY episode of. Well, I have seen every episode of Survivor, Friends, Supernatural, Roswell & The Big Bang Theory. Weird thing…my favorite show of all time is Friends, yet when it went off the air, I didn’t really care to watch it in syndication anymore so I didn’t bother buying the DVDs.

That’s it for me today! Tomorrow we’re heading out to my hometown to check out a house that looks VERY promising…hope we get it!

{We’re getting closer!}

Next week someone is coming to look at the house even though we aren’t putting it on the market until just after Easter. So now we are in a rush to declutter the house and clean it up. Or I should say I am…DH will be moving everything out when we move, so cleaning and packing is my job. I hope it sells because then there won’t be any stress of keeping the house clean for open houses next month. We’ll also be able to finalize a close date and start looking at houses in my hometown! So exciting! I’m going to the bank on Monday to see exactly how much we can afford, hoping it’ll be more than what we have now since the interest rates are so low.

Our new computer is supposedly going to be delivered today, but if it isn’t, it’ll come on Monday since they don’t do deliveries on the weekend. I’m hoping it’ll be today because Kristen doesn’t have school and normally they do deliveries right after I have to leave to go get her so I miss them and then DH has to go to the depot to pick the packages up. I can’t wait! Kristen can’t do anything on the other one because it’s so slow!

Here are a few layouts I did lately! Both layouts are made using new kits that are coming to SSD tomorrow!

For SSD’s From Our Blog 2 Yours for 3/26, they want to know which social network we are. Here are my results and I am glad to know I am Facebook, because I don’t do the other ones! LOL

You Are Facebook

You are social, outgoing, and excited to connect to your friends.

You are interested in your friends’ lives, and you enjoy adding your opinion to the mix.

While you enjoy sharing online, you don’t want everyone to know your business.

You value your privacy. Your life is an open book to those you know but not to strangers.

Are You Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter?

Here’s a new freebie for you! I just made up this alpha the other day. Click on the preview to go to my Freebie blog to get it!

{Fun weekend}

I took the girls to visit my parents for the weekend on Thursday. The weather was pretty nice (no snowstorms) :) and we got to shop a bit, go out for lunch a few times and saw our family! Here are a few pics I took while we were there. On Friday we visited my sister and her youngest son (the 2 oldest were visiting their grandparents for the week), where Kaylee dressed up as Indiana Jones and Kristen got her hair french braided by her Aunt Michele. Saturday I took the girls to the mall then to Jungle Jim’s for lunch then back into the mall so I could get a second cartilage piercing in my ear. :) Sunday we had the whole family over for brunch at my parents house. It was yummy! Too bad there wasn’t more food…it was all gone within 10 minutes! LOL

funweekendI’ve only done one layout since I last posted because I don’t usually scrap while I’m visiting my parents, even though I did bring my laptop with me.

For SSD’s From Our Blog 2 Yours for 3/19, Libby wants to know if we’re vanilla or chocolate…I woulda thought I’d be chocolate since I’d rather have that than vanilla, so my results are surprising!

You Are Vanilla

You are a delightful, friendly person. You are optimistic about life and people.

You are enthusiastic and energetic. You enjoy everything you do.

You are cooperative and flexible. You get along with people from many walks of life.

You’re not a show off. Instead, you’re more likely to help other people shine.

Are You Chocolate or Vanilla?

Sorry there was some problems downloading my pillow box template…not sure what happened but it was 4shared’s fault, not mine! LOL It’s all fixed now so go ahead and get it! :)

{Home life and stuff}

We did end up ordering the Inspiron 518 the other day. It just seemed like it’d be a more solid choice since it had more power, HD size and a lower price. I like the look of the Hybrid, but this one will do just fine since it’s supposed to be just for the girls anyway. As of right now it’s supposed to arrive on the 30th, but I’m sure it’ll come sooner than that.

inspiron318

Kristen lost her 6th tooth yesterday morning! Saturday night I was looking at it and I just knew it was going to come out soon. Yesterday morning Kristen pushed on it with her tongue and out it came! We didn’t bring it with us last night so the tooth fairy didn’t visit her and now because she’s still not home, she won’t come either. So tomorrow I’m bringing the tooth when I go over there so hopefully she’ll have a visit. :)

365day74

Yesterday was a nice day. It was beautiful out so after we went to Smitty’s for brunch, we went to see DH’s new work site, an after-care facility (care for the elderly) and then to DeWolfe Park to play on the equipment for a bit. Around 4 we left to go to the ILs for a turkey dinner then Kristen stayed there overnight. She called this morning to ask me if I can bring some extra stuff with me tomorrow (because my ILs are babysitting the girls while I go to the dentist) and said she is going to stay overnight until Thursday when I pick her up on the way to my hometown. She was going to stay Wednesday with my niece anyway, so she’s just staying a few extra nights. It’ll be nice not hearing the whining and arguing and tattling that comes when both girls are here. LOL

I’ve only done 2 layouts since my last post…I guess they are okay. :)
